This lake is actually a reservoir built and managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers for flood control. Wilson lake has been noted as the clearest lake in the state of Kansas. With over 9,000 water surface acres and over 100 miles of shoreline this is the most scenic lakes in the state. And some of the best fishing in the area too.

Recognized for its boating, camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, and bike trails Wilson lake is the leading recreational spot for many of the surrounding communities.

And its a beautiful drive from Lake Wilson to Alton, Kansas where you’ll find The Craft Basket and one of the best holiday shopping experiences in the area!
